In addition to our work on specific projects, Change Energy is frequently engaged by government, regulatory, utility or industry association bodies.to provide study and analysis serving the broader industry.
To date, most of our third party engagements fall under the following categories:
Alternative Fuel Options, Optimization and Business Case Assessment
Together with strong analytical skills we have decades of hands-on experience in natural gas and hydrogen powered vehicle operations and infrastructure. With these resources we have developed quantitative and qualitative decision-making tools that deliver sound recommendations to organizations contemplating the integration of these fuels in their fleet operations.
Safety and Risk Mitigation
Many of our studies and reports address wide-ranging aspects of safety assurance and risk mitigation that must be considered in the practical application of any fuel. We analyze all sides of the equation in detail so that ‘people factors’ and system capabilities are fully considered and integrated. Our company leadership’s long-time participation in the development codes and standards provides great value in this area of our work.
Change Energy is frequently engaged to review wide-ranging studies and reports developed by others. We give owners and other stakeholders the desired level of assurance that design principles, formulae, assumptions and current best practices have been applied to their initiative in a fully supportable manner.
Integrated Energy Networks
Change Energy has developed a model that introduces a Transportation Energy component to typical CHP-based Community Energy systems. Essentially, a CHP system can improve its efficiency and hence its profitability in cases where it is feasible for vehicles within the community to run on clean, economical alternative fuels that have an electricity requirement. Learn more about how Change Energy can develop and potentially validate this concept for your application.
